Here's my newest piece in the "NIGH" series that I am working on, which is a loose rendition of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The first piece in the series is located here for reference.

Hoth - Oathbreaker

Wow, it has been a long time since I have been able to show some new artwork. For the first time in my life, I can say that the excuse that I have isn't because I was too busy playing video games! On November 7th, 2013 my wife gave birth to our son and so for the last 14 months, I have been pretty busy between helping her while she was pregnant and now dealing with our newborn. As you can imagine, it's been a wild ride and I have not had the time or mindspace to really worry about updating a website.

Happily, I'm one of those artists that absolutely *needs* to create art in some fashion, so even though I was a little slower than normal, I did get a few projects done. This piece above is for Hoth, for their upcoming album, Oathbreaker. You can find more out about them on their FACEBOOK or their TWITTER. They also have a BANDCAMP that I'd highly recommend checking out. I had a blast working on this, so I hope you all enjoy it!

As for future things...keep an eye out for an update soon with some more Six Feet Under merch!

RIP Kevin McDade 1984-2013.

This weekend I learned of the passing of my friend, Kevin McDade, who fronted the band, Behold! The Monolith.

I remember when he first wrote me about the album art for his band's last album. He had this MASSIVE story laid out, most of which he said would never actually make it into the songs, but he needed it to keep track of all of the events and to be able to tell the story he wanted to tell with his music.
I remember reading that storyline and saying "Man, I am so goddamn lucky to work with people like this". So much creativity....so much passion. It's heartbreaking that I'll never get to work with or see him again.

RIP Kevin.
You were the coolest fucking guy on the planet and I miss you.

Life update!

It's been a busy year for me, though you probably wouldn't know it from this site.

For starters, I am proud to announce that my wife and I are expecting a little boy in November!
As you can imagine, this has affected the amount of clients that I have been working with. I have appreciated all of the inquiries that I have gotten lately, but I've had to make a decision to back off on a lot of these requests to properly make time for my wife and upcoming child. I have had to be very selective with what projects that I take on so that I don't overtax the time that I do have available.

All of that said, it doesn't mean that I haven't been doing art! In fact, I've been very busy with a lot of personal projects. For starters, I have been working on a lot of speedpainting. I've even created a new section to show these off. In one case, I even made a timelapse to show my process for one of these. You can watch it over on Youtube on my new channel. It's pretty barren at the moment, but I hope to do a lot more of these in the future.

On the cartoonier side, I've been updating my blog, "All-Consuming Hatred" a little bit more and have even been doing some work-for-hire in that style as well with a grind band out of Tacoma called "LB.!". Be sure to check them out! I'll be working with these guys a lot more in the future.

In a non-artistic way, I've even been writing a little bit. Over at Metal Band Art you can see an editorial that I wrote about how digital art is percieved in the heavy metal industry. I'll be writing more editorials and opinion pieces for MBA as time allows.

Finally, I do have a REALLY cool looking T-shirt coming up for Six Feet Under's summer North American tour with Decrepit Birth and Cannabis Corpse. I'll be updating that to the site soon!

I know the updates on this site have been a little sluggish, but it's mostly just because I update one thing (in this case, my facebook fan page) and just get lazy and forget to update my actual site. If you'd like to keep up with my work a little more regularly, please follow me here!

Thanks again for the continued support!
